Good morning!
The sun is shining, the birds are singing, everything is green! We are heading out of green season however, the rains are slowing down and the storms are turning into big blustery affairs that don’t really bring much liquid with them.
Tim had safe travel to and from his global funding strategy meetings in Nairobi. There were a couple of mix-ups with drivers and taxis on the way back which involved a fair bit of standing around wondering what was going on but all was sorted out in the end and no flights were missed! The meetings were fascinating for Tim who enjoys the problem solving, business thinking, strategy development and growing global understanding. It was great for him to meet folks serving in our ministry from all over the world facing similar and in some cases very different challenges.
Thank you so much to all of you who have been praying for my (Ali) headaches, the last week has been much better!
There has been more dialogue on the issues facing SIL Nigeria, this is encouraging but it still feels like not much progress has really been made towards resolving the issues. Please pray for healing of broken relationships, for forgiveness and mercy, for understanding and wisdom, for Godly attitudes and humility, and most of all for a way forward that honours God and glorifies his name.
We currently have a new SIL Nigeria member of staff from the UK staying with us in our home. Her name is Anna Armstrong and she arrived in Nigeria for the first time 12 days ago. She is joining the Linguistics department and is staying with us temporarily while she finds her feet and while her longer term plans are worked out.
Thank you so much to all of you who faithfully pray for us and our work, your prayers are vital and impactful, please keep praying!
