Greetings, one and all!
Having published the latest edition of Ethnologue in Feb, March was a time of resetting for me. We have two new regional editors, one for Africa and one covering an area we refer to as Asia-Pacific (Asian and Pacific islands, including Australia). I’ve been doing some training with them for their new roles, as well as working on setting up efficient workflows so that we don’t miss anything between us.
I’ve also been meeting with the other Ethnologue editors to discuss and decide on our editorial priorities for the next edition. One area that we will be focusing on is the interactive maps on the website that allow users to see the geographical location of each language group.
Tim has been, and continues to be, busy with tracking info and advising teams on the situation in the Middle East. There have been some tough moments, especially trying to work with teams to figure out if leaving or staying put is the best option for any given staff in their context. We thank God that none of our staff has been physically harmed.

We have had an amazing answer to prayer this month with the resolution of a very difficult situation that Tim has been involved in supporting for over a year. Praise God with us! This update was delayed as Tim travelled to America this week to participate in one of the debriefs. There are several more debriefs that need to be arranged.
Both these situations have meant that Tim has had to be on high alert for many weeks. Please pray that God will sustain him and enable him to take times of rest.
We are enjoying having Dan back home for a few weeks over Easter. Multiple board games were played, book discussions were held, group projects were worked on, and TV shows were enjoyed together.
We are so thankful that several people from our church here in Lancaster, Father’s House, have decided to start supporting us financially. We are so blessed to be part of a church community that cares for us in so many ways.
Please do take a few minutes to pray for us, if you can.
Praise
Seeing God’s hand move in significant situations
Time with Dan
Feeling supported by our home church
