Happy Christmas and a blessed New Year!
Thank you to all of you who have faithfully supported us through the past year. We couldn't do what we do without you - You are amazing!
Just a brief personal catch up today, more on work in a couple of weeks.
We have had a lot of journeys back and forth over the last month between our home in Lancaster and Newcastle/Gateshead.
Once to meet up with Tim’s Mum and older brother for a lovely pre-Christmas dinner. Once to collect Dan at the end of his first term at University. And finally for Christmas with my parents and my brother and his family. (oh again agin this week to take Dan back to Uni!) We had a lovely few days with them. Tim cooked Christmas lunch and pulled off a glorious meal that everyone enjoyed. We reckoned it was the first Christmas with them all for about 15 years.
Back in Lancaster we had Tim’s family over for a post-Christmas celebration. It was the first time we have been able to host all of the Lancaster contingent at our house, including Jacqueline’s Mum, enabled by the long worked on downstairs loo. Jacqueline’s brother Nathan and his family were over from the US for Christmas, so it was a full house.
It was lovely to have Christmas so much closer to family and it has also been lovely having Dan back home. A bit strange to begin with, I guess we had gotten used to it being just the two of us. The timing didn’t work out in the end for Dan’s driving test, so that has been postponed to Easter. He has his first set of exams when he gets back to Uni, starting on the 8th of January, so plenty of revising to do.
Thank you again for all your support over the last year. Over the course of the past year everyone has been affected with the rising interest rates impacting mortgages and the cost of living crisis. We find out monthly costs increasing and a number of our faithful supporters have had to step back for the time being. If you haven't considered supporting us, would you consider stepping up to help fill the gap? If you currently support us, maybe you could increase your support level a bit? If you'd like to know more details, please do reach out of head to this page about how you can give.
Thank you all and God bless!
